We have offices in Salt Lake City, Utah (US), and João Pessoa, Brazil (BR). For this role, we're looking for someone based in João Pessoa to join us on-site and support both local and global operations.

About the Role

We're seeking a versatile IT professional to lead and maintain our technology infrastructure while ensuring seamless IT operations across a growing international company.

Based in João Pessoa, you will balance hands-on technical work with management and operational leadership, including mentoring our current part-time IT support. You'll oversee local and global IT systems, manage vendors, maintain hardware/software, and ensure security and compliance.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, loves solving technical problems hands-on, and can also make strategic IT decisions to support a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Hardware Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, servers, and network equipment (macOS, Windows, Linux).
  • Manage IT inventory, licenses, and assets; track full lifecycle from procurement to disposal.
  • Maintain AV setups and facility automation systems.
  • Lead IT projects for office setup, expansion, and technical upgrades.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to part-time IT support staff.

Access & Security

  • Manage user access to systems, applications, and cloud platforms.
  • Maintain onboarding/offboarding workflows and role-based access controls.
  • Monitor logs, audit permissions, and implement cybersecurity best practices.

Software & Tools

  • Manage SaaS subscriptions, renewals, and integrations (Google Workspace, MDM, antivirus, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot technical issues both on-site and remotely.
  • Maintain IT documentation, standards, and knowledge bases.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Evaluate and coordinate with hardware, software, and service vendors.
  • Support contract negotiations, renewals, and vendor performance tracking.

Operations & Strategic Planning

  • Develop IT budgets and procurement strategies aligned with business growth.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Align IT initiatives with company expansion and operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or IT management.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills in hardware, networks, and SaaS ecosystems.
  • Experience managing small teams or contractors.
  • Fluent English (Portuguese a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in startups or fast-scaling environments.
  • Familiarity with AV/studio infrastructure.
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or similar).
  • Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
