Role Overview
The Sales Development Manager – LATAM is a dual-role position responsible for leading the regional SDR team while also contributing directly to demand generation. This working leadership role includes managing daily sales development activities, training and scaling a high-performing team, and aligning closely with field sales and marketing teams to generate and qualify pipeline opportunities.
This role requires a motivated and results-driven leader with a deep understanding of outbound prospecting in the B2B tech or IoT sector, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution & Individual Contribution Personally drive outbound prospecting campaigns and lead qualification for strategic accounts. Act as a senior SDR on key accounts while mentoring junior reps through hands-on guidance. Meet individual KPIs related to outreach, meetings booked, and qualified pipeline.
Team Leadership & Coaching
Recruit, onboard, and manage a growing team of SDRs across LATAM. Define and execute training programs to upskill the team in sales tools, objection handling, and messaging. Monitor and report on team performance, providing coaching, feedback, and recognition to drive excellence.
Pipeline Development & Campaign Oversight execution of outbound and inbound SDR workflows, ensuring lead quality and conversion rates are optimized. Collaborate with marketing on campaign follow-up, event outreach, and persona targeting. Maintain an active presence in pipeline reviews with regional managers to align SDR goals with sales targets.
Cross-Functional Alignment
Serve as a key liaison between LATAM field sales, marketing, and global sales operations. Provide insights from the field to refine ICP (Ideal Customer Profile), messaging, and content needs. Ensure seamless handoffs from SDR to Account Executives, with clear qualification criteria.
CRM & Sales Operations
Maintain clean and accurate records in CRM (Salesforce or equivalent), including lead status and engagement notes. Deliver regular performance reports, lead conversion metrics, and campaign insights. Recommend improvements to tech stack and SDR process workflows.
Customer Engagement & Escalation Management Serve as the escalation point for key customers and complex support cases. Foster long-term customer relationships through effective communication and issue resolution.
Collaboration & Enablement
Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to streamline support handoffs and improve customer journeys. Act as the voice of the customer to influence service improvements and product enhancements.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Track KPIs and generate insights to drive process improvements. Establish reporting cadences for internal stakeholders and continuously evaluate performance metrics.
Qualifications
Experience
4+ years in SDR or BDR roles, including 1–2 years in a team lead or managerial position. Strong outbound sales track record in B2B tech, SaaS, or IoT industries. Exceptional communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
Skills
Exceptional problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and outreach tools (e.g., Salesloft, Outreach).
Mindset
Hands-on, entrepreneurial attitude with a passion for sales and delivering outstanding customer experiences. Comfortable with ever changing and fast-paced environments.
Voice of the Customer & Innovation Catalyst
Act as an internal champion for customer needs. Translate feedback into actionable insights to influence product innovation and roadmap direction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with customers, the sales team, and internal stakeholders to enable sales, leveraging both Acceleronix and third-party offerings.
Communication Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
Customer-Centric
Demonstrated ability to understand and align solutions with customer business goals.
Location
Based in Brazil, Campinas.
Schedule
This position requires flexibility to work in shifts and be on-call, including weekends and holidays, to support customers across different time zones. Availability for emergency escalations and regional coordination is essential. Candidates must be prepared to adjust working hours as needed to ensure consistent service coverage and issue resolution.
Travel
The role requires occasional travel, approximately 15% of the time, both within Brazil and internationally, for team meetings, training, or regional events.
