Housecall Pro is a fintech company founded in 2013. We built a SaaS platform that helps Home Service Professionals operate their businesses. We created the application for plumbers, electricians, and other Pros in the home improvement/trades industries.

Housecall Pro is a simple, cloud-based field service management software platform aimed at helping companies keep track of jobs, monitor technician activity, and produce invoices easily.

Our core product helps our clients with scheduling, dispatching, job management, invoicing, payment processing, marketing, and more. They used to struggle with a ton of paperwork after their hours. Now they can save time, and manage their business in one app.

As a Staff React Engineer I, you are a frontend systems expert who designs scalable, performant, and maintainable web applications. You serve as a technical leader and mentor, advancing frontend architecture across teams and collaborating cross-functionally with backend engineers, product managers, and designers. You communicate with clarity and independence, proactively identifying opportunities to improve the user experience and engineering efficiency. You contribute to the future of our platform by driving innovation, setting quality standards, and establishing best practices that scale.

In your daily routine, you will:

• Lead design and implementation of scalable frontend systems using React/Redux and JavaScript frameworks
• Architect web applications with a focus on performance, responsiveness, and maintainability
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve customer experience and business outcomes
• Drive adoption of best practices in frontend development through mentorship, documentation, and example
• Evangelize modern architectural patterns and influence their adoption across teams
• Analyze and optimize web performance metrics to ensure fast, efficient, and accessible interfaces
• Guide complex code reviews and architectural evaluations with a strong focus on clean code and testability
• Maintain high standards of code quality through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Integrate frontend systems with backend APIs, ensuring robust and reliable data flow
• Research and prototype emerging technologies that enhance our frontend ecosystem

We think that this offer is for you if you:

• 6–10 years of professional experience developing commercial applications using React/Redux
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks
• Familiarity with ReSTful APIs used to connect React applications to back-end services
• Deep understanding of web performance, testing strategies, and responsive design
• Demonstrated experience architecting and scaling frontend systems in production environments
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• Fluent in English language
