Overview
We are helping Filterbuy find a top candidate to join their team full-time for the role of Bookkeeper/Accounts Manager.
You will manage household and personal finances ensuring accuracy and clear reporting.
Compensation: USD 24K - 30K/year.
Location: Remote (US-based).
Mission of Filterbuy: "Better Air for All".
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate books for multiple entities (all in QuickBooks Online).
Categorize, reconcile, and review transactions across personal and household accounts.
Ensure all personal expenditures (household, renovations, mortgages, credit cards, etc.) are properly tracked and coded.
Prepare monthly reports (P&L-style summaries, cash flow tracking, and categorized spend dashboards).
Manage household/vendor bill payments using Melio (or similar bill-pay platform).
Draft and schedule payments; route for approval to the principal or designated approver.
Ensure payments are timely, accurate, and documented with invoices/receipts.
Handle same-day ACH payments as needed; coordinate with bank/Zelle/wire for exceptions.
Provide a clean monthly reporting package for household and entities (spend by category, variance vs. prior month, open payables).
Maintain a personal balance sheet snapshot (assets, liabilities, major expenditures).
Liaise with the Personal Chief of Staff on questions, vendor communication, or ad-hoc requests.
Support tax advisors with year-end reconciliation and documentation requests.
Communicate clearly on status of bills, reconciliations, and reporting deadlines.
Qualifications
3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (QuickBooks Online required).
Experience with bill-pay platforms (Melio, Bill.com, or similar).
High attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage large monthly spend with accuracy.
Trustworthy with sensitive financial information; discretion is essential.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
Comfortable working in a remote team and reporting to a U.S.-based Chief of Staff.
Nice-to-Haves
Prior experience supporting a high-net-worth individual, family office, or household finance function.
Familiarity with U.S. banking systems, ACH, and payment workflows.
Ability to create simple dashboards in Excel/Google Sheets for spend visualization.
Success in This Role
Household and entity books are always up to date.
All bills and vendors are paid on time with zero surprises.
Monthly financial snapshot is delivered cleanly and consistently.
The principal has full visibility into spend, without needing to touch the details.
