We are seeking a Senior Accountant with 4+ years of accounting experience to join our client's finance and accounting organization.As a critical member of the team, you will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the company's financial operations, spanning Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), Sales Tax, Payroll, and financial statement generation.You will have the autonomy to make important decisions about systems and processes while receiving support and guidance along the way.The team is supportive, highly talented, and always encouraged to communicate ideas with the executive team.Conduct and manage accounting functions for our growing software firmJournal entries, accruals, A/R, A/P, and account reconciliationsSales tax and payroll preparationFinancial and SOC audit assistanceFinancial statement generationCash management, budgeting, and forecasting activitiesRequired Experience:Excellent English verbal and written skillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance4+ years of accounting experienceGAAP proficiencyExperience with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office Suite productsExcellent organizational skillsProficiency operating within accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar)A drive to continue learning, specifically about the energy business and the client's softwareAbility to prioritize, multitask, and problem-solve effectivelyResponsible individual with a strong work ethic and analytical mind to play a key administrative roleSelf-starter and resourcefulAbility to work independently or as part of a teamProven experience working effectively in a vibrant, dynamic startup environmentTrustworthy, team-oriented, and transparentDesired Experience:CPA or progress toward CPA (or equivalent certification)Experience in a SaaS, technology, or software company
