We are excited to be hiring a Brazil Country Manager to lead our strategy and operations as we scale to serve our first international location
We are looking for an entrepreneurial self-starter who has several years of management experience and a deep understanding of the Brazilian agricultural sector.
This person would be the company's first hire in Brazil and would be a critical leader in building and executing the business model for Pattern's entrance into a second geography.
Pattern has signed a large channel partnership in Brazil, giving this person strong initial footing from which to successfully launch Pattern's Brazilian business.
This is a full-time position, working in São Paulo, but traveling frequently around the country as the job requires.
This employee will work under the direction of the VP of Finance.
**Start Date**: Immediately upon completion of pre-hire requirements.
Work is achieved during 8-hour work days, Monday through Friday.
**Responsibilities**:
- Interface with Pattern's channel partners in Brazil to build a successful go-to-market strategy
- Make on-the-ground connections with relevant stakeholders (agronomists, universities, governmental institutions)
- Hire and oversee lab workers and soil samplers
- Oversee buildout of on-the-ground facilities
- Help navigate local regulations
- Daily coordination with Pattern's HQ
- Advise internal teams on long-term product vision
**Required Experience**:
- BA degree, MBA preferred but not required
- 10+ years of experience in an operations / strategy role or management consulting
- Experience managing a team of individuals
- Strong Portuguese - English translation skills
- Deep understanding of Brazilian agricultural sector
**Compensation**:
- $110,000/yr - $140,000/yr base salary
