This specialist position requires drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.It also involves managing transactions, advising on compliance and government regulations, and building relationships with senior management to advance business goals in Latin America.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal counsel on all aspects of corporate transactions.Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements.Identify and manage legal risks associated with transactions and business operations.Advice and CounselManage an active portfolio of legal issues related to industrial products and services.Advise on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.Assess legal risks and opportunities, establishing plans to minimize risks at acceptable levels.Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel as needed.Shape and advocate positions on various legal and business matters.Relationship ManagementAdvise department managers on local laws, regulations, and issues.Collaborate with key customers and mid- to senior management.Build strong relationships with peers and senior management.This is a specialist individual contributor role with no team management responsibilities.
The position develops and maintains written departmental standards and procedures, and reports to the Assistant General Counsel.
