What to Expect
ResponsibilitiesDesign and conduct qualitative and mixed-methods analyses, including developing suitable study designs for various research questionsEvaluate the implementation, impact, and sustainability of innovative educational programs and toolsBuild and integrate evidence from multiple sources to inform system improvement and identify new research needsLead and facilitate partnerships with diverse stakeholders to formulate research questions and plansPresent research findings through various knowledge products and represent the employer at professional conferences
QualificationsPh.D.
in education or a closely related social science field with a focus in educationDemonstrated experience in education-related research and functioning as a knowledge broker across diverse rolesStrategic leadership and management experience in research-practice partnerships or networks within K-12 or postsecondary settingsProficiency in traditional educational research methods and mixed-methods research skillsStrong problem-solving and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
Preferred QualificationsExperience conducting formative and summative evaluations for external stakeholdersThorough knowledge of education research, policy, or learning sciences, particularly from an equity perspectiveAbility to work effectively with multiple constituencies including education administrators, researchers, and policymakers
