Job Title: Hub ManagerDepartment: Donated Goods Retail (DGR)Reports To: General Manager of Post RetailLocation: Southeast / SouthwestFLSA Status:ExemptPay Rate: $90,000 – $110,000 per yearMission SupportGoodwill Houston (GWH) is leading change, connecting people, and improving the potential for the future of work.We educate, train, and hire individuals with barriers to employment to help them thrive.We connect people, families, and communities to improve lives and meet today's and tomorrow's workforce needs.Powered, in part, by donations and retail customers, we change lives through the power of work.Position SummaryResponsible for overseeing the efficient operation and management of the Logistics Center, ensuring all activities within the facility run at optimal levels.Managing the daily operations of the logistics center in accordance with the established business practices, policies, procedures, and projections set by GWH and ensures that safety guidelines are strictly followed throughout the facility to maintain a safe working environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of the logistics center and assigned team, ensuring all processes are run efficiently.Manage warehouse layout and optimize space usage for maximum storage and workflow efficiency.Monitor and maintain the overall warehouse appearance, cleanliness, maintenance, and organization.Ensure effective coordination between teams for the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and salvage.Collaborate with managers from various departments (Dock, Salesroom, Transportation, Maintenance, eCommerce, Computer Works, etc.) to ensure integrated operations.Select, train, develop, and maintain appropriate staff to meet operational goals.Provide frequent feedback, counsel, and advice to team members, holding leadership accountable for established goals and responsibilities.Adhere to and enforce GWH's safety and security policies, procedures, and SOPs.Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Implement and oversee emergency procedures to safeguard associates and assets.Ensure all associates are trained in safe work practices.Optimize storage systems to maximize space, monitor salvage levels for proper organization, and track all products in the warehouse.Identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing performance in safety, quality, service, and productivity.Monitor performance across all areas of responsibility to meet and exceed goals.Maintain all company records and reports accurately and in a timely fashion.Audit and order supplies as needed.Assist in resolving complaints and communicate effectively with direct supervisors.Balance daily workloads, forecast upcoming volume, and staff accordingly.Ensure appropriate cross-departmental communication to clarify policies and procedures, aiming to meet operational goals.Oversee budget planning, execution, and financial performance of hub operations.Ensure operations are conducted within financial constraints while achieving revenue goals.Other duties as assigned by management.Additional DutiesDemonstrate professionalism with a friendly and cooperative attitude.Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.Adhere strictly to all GWH Policies & Procedures, including Loss Prevention, Safety Regulations, and GWH Guiding Principles.Must be punctual, exhibit dependable attendance, and maintain an appropriate professional appearance.Conduct work safely; maintain high standards of housekeeping by ensuring aisles, pathways to fire exits are clear, and work areas are kept neat and clean.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or the equivalent.Minimum of four (4) years of managerial experience in a retail production or logistics center environment is required.Retail sales experience is preferred.Strong knowledge in warehouse operations, management, space utilization, and safety protocols.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various personality types.Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to maintain and navigate electronic communication devices.Key Performance Indicators (KPI)Actual Revenue vs. Budgeted RevenueNet Operations ProfitLabor Costs within BudgetOperational ReadinessManage and maintain all equipment within the facility.Ensure efficiency and effectiveness in warehouse production.Align trailer availability with business needs.Workforce ManagementAdherence to procedures, timely processing, maintaining urgency.Monitor payroll costs against district goals.Consistent adherence to schedules, effective communication.Measured by annual leadership and overall retention vs. last year.Safety and ComplianceMaintain a safety metric score of 95% or better.Professional Development and ServiceAchieve 95% or better completion rate.Excellence in both internal and external customer interactions.Image and ProfessionalismUphold professional standards in appearance and workspace cleanliness, safety, organization, and donor area management.Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentThe ability to stand, twist, bend, squat, reach, kneel, push, and pull.Able to lift up to 40 lbs.and, occasionally, lift/move items up to 100 lbs.(e.g., large bags of donations, televisions, furniture, etc.)Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.An indoor work environment with occasional exposure to outside temperatures.The noise level in the normal work environment is usually moderate.I understand this job description and requirements, and I am expected to complete all assigned duties.I also understand that the job functions may change, and I may be transferred to another location at the discretion of Management.I have read this job description, and I will be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without accommodation.#J-*****-Ljbffr
