Job Title: Carbon SpecialistThis role involves driving the company's carbon strategy and overseeing corporate carbon accounting to track Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions in line with international standards.Responsibilities:Develop and execute the company's carbon transition roadmap, including verification & integrating it across operations and supply chainsCoordinate validation of methodologies and alignment of internal systems with evolving regulations and frameworks (e.g. EU CSRD, SBTi, emerging carbon regulations)Oversee product carbon footprint assessments led by the Data Analyst, leading methodology developments around IMPACT carbon survey design, developing manuals & training materials and capacity building team membersOversee the verification and ongoing validation of the Sucafina Product Footprint Tool, ensuring methodological rigor and transparencyConduct assessment of potential carbon measurement tools to track progressGuide the formalization and deployment of the carbon forecasting methodology, integrating models developed by Conduct comparative assessments of carbon footprint and other frameworks (e.g. CFT), analyzing migration effort and cost implicationsDrive capacity building through manuals, training, and knowledge sharing on carbon footprint methodologies and data quality checksDesign and support client-focused carbon services, including carbon footprint assessments and decarbonization pathways in conjunction with the Global Agronomy ManagerDevelop carbon insetting and offsetting strategies tailored to client needsCollaborate with commercial teams to integrate carbon-related value propositions into customer offeringsLead engagement with certification bodies and verification standards to verify projects (identify standards and methodologies, timelines-effort-cost, and execute implementation)Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, data science, quantitative agronomy, or similar fieldsMinimum 5+ years in carbon management or climate solutions, preferably in agriculture or coffeeIn-depth knowledge of carbon accounting methodologies (GHG Protocol, IPCC Guidelines, SBTi)Strong expertise in carbon project development and financingExperience with carbon verification and certification processes (Gold Standard, Verra, etc.)Familiarity with climate-smart agriculture and regenerative farming practicesKey Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop actionable climate solutionsExcellent stakeholder engagement and ability to work across teams (e.g. sourcing, commercial, sustainability)Effective communication and client engagement skills to translate technical concepts into business opportunitiesThe ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of carbon management principles and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
