Position SummaryDrives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, inventory levels, cleanliness of the area, and assessment of economic trends and community needs.Oversees stocking and rotation of merchandise, sets up and organizes product displays, and handles fragile and high-shrink merchandise.What you'll doLeads and develops teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.Introduces and leads company change efforts and provides clear expectations to implement business solutions and communicate objectives to teams.Models exceptional customer service standards and manages customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved and improvement plans are implemented to deliver a high-quality customer experience.Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing performance, and developing qualified staff to meet staffing and growth needs.Controls loss and improves profitability by identifying goals, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to inventory and loss-prevention policies.Conducts operational and pre-inventory reviews, gathers data, audits results, identifies improvement opportunities, and coordinates with managers to implement corrections.Trains managers and staff on controls across multiple stores and investigates violations of company policies or criminal activities, including gathering evidence and providing testimony as needed.Partners in collaborative efforts with other investigative entities; monitors safety and risk controls, oversees safety programs, and trains associates on accident prevention techniques.Manages asset protection, safety, and receiving procedures and ensures compliance with policies and procedures, including cold chain and hazardous materials handling.Develops and delivers training as needed and maintains necessary documentation and reporting.Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to meet customer and business needs.Ensures compliance with company policies and supports the Open Door Policy by applying these in daily business processes and practices.Builds high-performing teams, fosters an inclusive culture, and promotes a sense of belonging.Attracts, retains, and develops talent; acts with integrity and serves customers by applying Walmart's values and EDLP/EDLC models.Encourages continuous improvement and adaptation to new technologies and processes.Note: The benefits section outlines compensation and health, financial, paid time off, and additional programs such as Live Better U.Minimum QualificationsCompletion of 2 years of college.Option 2: 1 year's experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment.Option 3: 1 year's experience in one of the following areas: accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment.Option 4: 2 years' experience in asset protection or related area.Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (for example, minimum age, specialized training, certification and/or licensing).If applicable, acquisition of a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.If applicable, successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms training as required.Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).Preferred QualificationsOutlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position.If none are listed, there are no preferred qualifications.Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
