Requisition ID: *****Job Location(s):Caxias do Sul, BR**Regional Category Specialist (procurement)**:Danfoss has an opening for a Regional Category Specialist for the Danfoss Procurement (DP) organization.This position will report to the Danfoss Procurement Director in Americas, and is primarily responsible for making a strategical plan to optimize the Group's spend.This will be done by identifying, developing, monitoring the supplier base and improving their performance over the entire life cycle for the assigned cluster of Suppliers.The Categories under your responsibility will be mainly Iron Castings, Machining and Turned Parts.This position is for Caxias do Sul, RS.**Responsibilities**:Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.- Contribute to the development of category strategies incl.risk assessments and deploy to stakeholders- Develop a supplier base to ensure secure future capacity needs and de-risking- Ensure the availability of market analysis and supplier technology roadmaps- Negotiate competitive buying prices based on policy and targets given by the Head of Category (initial and annual cost downs)- Negotiate contracts for the supplier base under your responsibility- Drive Savings projects in collaboration with site purchasing team- Negotiate competitive supply conditions- Manage the results of your Categories and Suppliers- Improve supplier performance and mitigate supply risk- Build internal stakeholder network to explain and deploy the Category Strategies- Perform continuous Supplier Relationship Management with your suppliers**Background & Skills**:- Degree in Engineering, Administration, Economy, International Commerce, Technology, Management or equivalent- Advanced English Level- 5 years of professional experience in procurement, at Manufacturing, Engineering or Automotive industry- Good global market knowledge on Mechanics and/or Electronics- Ability to identify and select suppliers through supplier evaluation & risk analysis- Negotiation skills- Knowledge about purchase and supply chain contract- Knowledge about Purchasing Procedures & Tools- Knowledge about ISO/IATF- Experience with cost reduction projects- Co-ordinate and work with global teams**Danfoss - Engineering Tomorrow**:At Danfoss, we are engineering solutions that allow the world to use resources in smarter ways - driving the sustainable transformation of tomorrow.No transformation has ever been started without a group of passionate, dedicated and empowered people.We believe that innovation and great results are driven by the right mix of people with diverse backgrounds, personalities, skills, and perspectives, reflecting the world in which we do business.To make sure the mix of people works, we strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are treated equally, respected, and valued for who they are.It is a strong priority within Danfoss to improve the health, working environment and safety of our employees.Following our founder's mindset 'action speaks louder than words', we set ourselves ambitious targets to protect the environment by embarking on a plan to become CO2 neutral latest by ****.Danfoss is an EO employer and VEVRAA Federal Contractor.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected category.
