We're seeking a seasoned software engineer to modernize and transform existing software, with 5+ years of full-stack development experience in React.js and React Native, as well as C#, C++, or .NET.This role involves working remotely, leveraging excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.The ideal candidate is someone who:Excels at solving complex problemsIs passionate about modernizing legacy systemsDrives high-quality industry standardsLoves learning new technologies and processesDisplays a deep understanding of the fintech industryThis fintech software company provides innovative banking solutions to enhance operations and improve financial lives.With nearly 300 financial institutions across the United States, U.S. territories, and the Caribbean as customers, they have grown steadily since their inception over thirty years ago.Responsibilities include:Modernizing and transforming existing softwareWriting new features for customersDocumenting processes, products, and APIsAssisting with software releases and ensuring timely deliveryParticipating in story pointing and estimation activitiesReviewing code and providing feedback, as well as participating in pair programmingAdvocating Agile Scrum methodologiesWriting and maintaining automated tests using Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Telerik Test Studio, and Grafana k6Required Experience includes:Excellent English communication skills5+ years of software engineering experienceExperience with React Framework and React Native or equivalent JavaScript frameworksPrimary back-end language experience, such as C#, C++, or .NETDatabase experience, including Progress OpenEdge, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, and PostgreSQLBackground in Agile Scrum methodologiesStrong communication and teamwork skillsA strong product sense, empathy for users, and desire for feedbackUnderstanding of development ergonomics and taking pride in understanding your engineering customersComfortable working with ambiguity and collaboration to define problems, determine solutions, and execute themAbility to strike a balance between speed and quality of features to create durable technologyA practice of keeping up with industry trends and assessing new technologiesTrustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent individualPreferred Experience includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
