**Where you Fit In**:
You'll be a key player within the Sportingtech Infrastructure Team and joining a group of highly skilled professionals, with a pivotal responsibility in creating performing and scalable solutions across our award-winning iGaming Platform.
Our Database Administrators are responsible for managing Sportingtechs database systems, installing and maintaining the database software, creating storage structures, setting up user accounts, debugging malfunctioning programs, creating backups, and continuously maintaining and improving the database security.
**Who are You**?
You are an experience Database Administrator, with extensive experience with DBA tools like pSQL, SQLplus, pgAdmin, pgBackRest, excellent problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with database management.
You can expertly manage our database systems to maximize performance and efficiency.
**The impact you will have**:
- Installing and maintaining the database software (PostgreSQL predominantly but also other dmbs)
- Visualizing, creating, testing, and administering database objects.
Optimizing query performance.
- Documenting the required changes and maintaining the knowledgebase with any new information.
- Working with peers and end-users to understand and solve issues they might be facing and aligning and contributing to the company culture of open communication.
- Discovering new technologies and suggesting future products and improvements in alignment with the company roadmap.
- Being accustomed to the agile practices and be a proponent of the agile ways of working.
**What were looking for**:
- Oracle 19c experience
- PostgreSQL version 13+
- PostgreSQL streaming replication
- PostgreSQL backup, restore and recovery
- PostgreSQL performance optimization
- Experienced in database design, coding, and documentation.
- Knowledge of database backup procedures, backup & recovery systems, SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle
- Good knowledge of shell scripting on Unix/Linux systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding and knowledge of migration to PostgreSQL tools
- Good knowledge of logical replication
- Knowledge of sharding, clustering, auditing and encryption
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
