About EightpointEightpoint is a specialist in agile product and content development addressing real-world interests.The company aims to captivate users and drive significant growth for partners through its next-generation user-centric offerings.The firm's growing ecosystem includes innovative products like Weather Now, a sleek app delivering real-time forecasts with clarity.It ranks among the top three most-used weather apps in the U.S.Another notable product is Check Heart Rate Now, a quick and easy wellness monitor.The Wave Browser is a powerful and secure way to search the web.Every product launched by the company is designed to engage users, enhance daily life, and deliver real-world value.Its commitment to quality drives data-driven decision-making and fast-paced innovation.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Android Developer to lead development of innovative mobile applications focusing on cross-platform initiatives using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and Jetpack Compose.Experience with iOS development is a strong plus, as you'll help shape our cross-platform architecture and deliver products seamlessly operating across Android and iOS ecosystems.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain mobile applications leveraging KMP for shared business logic and Compose for modern UI design.Collaborate on cross-platform initiatives contributing to both Android and iOS codebases when necessary.Analyze and optimize high-volume mobile systems for performance and scalability.Refactor and revitalize codebases as technology evolves.Lead development efforts for new products and enhancements to existing products in response to market changes.Troubleshoot and resolve system failures ensuring high-quality user experiences.Work closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver innovative features.Who We Are Looking For5+ years of experience in Android development with proficiency in Kotlin.Android Launcher experience is a strong plus.Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture).Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or other cross-platform frameworks.Exposure to or experience with iOS development (Swift or Objective-C) is a strong plus.Strong architecture design skills and ability to build reusable UI components.Comfortable working on collaborative, fast-paced engineering teams.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.A self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and passion for innovation.
