This position will be a vital resource for Operations, applying your technical expertise to optimize plant operations, solve plant problems, ensure the safe and efficient production to enable the plant to meet its business plan and strategy.
Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, techniques and methodology within the analytical and process technology discipline.Responsibilities:Monitors the structural integrity and evolution of mined caverns through periodic workover and sonar campaigns in partnership with the Tech Center.Supports execution of drilling capital projects, acting as the manufacturing representative.Works closely with the operations team leveraging their problem solving skills and technical expertise.Elevates and appropriately applies knowledge of the plant and technology referencing historical data and conferring with Technology Center or other subject matter experts (SMEs).
Ensures Most Effective Technology (MET) is understood and utilized and that process automation is used as a tool to optimize plant performance.Utilizes defined MET and challenges/escalates MET application and assumptions when better solutions arise.Partners with experts to perform advanced troubleshooting and improve and document operating discipline.Diagnoses and documents root causes of asset utilization losses in the facility.Understands why specific procedure steps and precautions are needed and keeps a strong field presence to reinforce the importance.Conducts daily review of logbook and alarm history to better understand the plant operation and stay engaged with daily activities, ensuring proactive management.Maintains, owns, and reviews daily Key Process Indicators (KPI)/ trends to ensure optimum performance.Responds urgently to plant issues and emergencies.Acts as a unit technical expert during unplanned events and drives implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.Ensures compliance with plant operating permits.
Understands site integration and provides input to optimize the overall system.Maintains a strong field presence to understand the importance of specific procedure steps and precautions, reinforcing their significance to the team.Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mining or Petroleum Engineering.Advanced English Skills.Previous industry experience is desirable.Your Skills:Strong understanding of process engineering principles, caverns management and drilling process.Ability to analyze and visualize complex data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes, with a curious mindset to explore innovative solutions.Ability to make decisions under pressure, ensuring efficient plant operations, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.Self-efficient, work independently, manager independently.Generating customer value - the candidate will be responsible for generating customer value by supporting the production team thru the delivery of the production work process.Delivering innovative solutions.To apply:Sign in or create your account.Make sure your resume is accessible.
