Transforming Mental Health SupportWe aim to address gaps in accessibility and provide instant support at the push of a button.About The RoleThis is a unique opportunity to shape our conversational stack, working closely with the Staff ML Engineer to create resilient product experiences that meet HIPAA standards.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and operate services for conversation state, user memory, retrieval, and tool integrations.Collaborate with clinical psychologists to ensure the efficacy of our conversational AI.Partner with front end teams for API creation, QA, and implementation.Implement alignment & safety layers tuned to clinical guidelines.Optimize for latency, cost, and quality.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience building backend systems in production (Go/Python/NodeJS), with strong systems and API design skills.They should also have hands-on experience with AI agents, RAG pipelines, and LLMs, as well as cloud infrastructure expertise (Google Cloud Platform).Proficiency with relational + vector/search systems and real-time communication is essential.
