- Execute regional external communications strategy for global campaigns, working with Communications and Content team, Brand and Reputation team, Campaigns team and solution line marketers.
- Maintain relationships with key journalists in LATAM, conducting proactive and reactive media relations.
- Manage PR/communications agency resource on a day-to-day basis alongside Global Media Relations team.
- Manage issues and crises in the media within LATAM, following firm-wide best practices and escalating to Communications and Content team as required.
- Work with Communications and Content team to develop external communications materials and deliverables, including:External communications plans in alignment with global communications strategyCommunications materials including press releases, media pitches, briefing packs, bylines, social media, etc.Media training and spokespeople preparation for media engagementsMedia monitoring and metrics in alignment with global communications reporting

**How this opportunity is different**
Aon is seeking a senior communications professional to join our global Communications and Content team.
The Regional Media Relations Manager for LATAM will lead media relations for the region, ensuring best-in-class external communications for Aon in the region.
Reporting into both the Regional Communications Leader and the Head of Global Media, this role will design and execute reputation and issues management and external-facing business line communications across LATAM.
This Regional Media Relations Manager will work closely with our Growth Marketing, Communications and Content, Brand and Reputation, Marketing Operations and Insight Marketing teams on global, Aon United media relations initiatives that drive Aon's overall market position and external presence.
At the LATAM level, this role will contribute to integrated marketing and communications campaigns that will drive growth, enable new conversations through thought leadership and facilitate demand for Aon solutions.
**Skills and experience that will lead to success**
years of professional communications experience, with a proven track record of innovation and results in external communications;
- Proven experience of operating in complex, matrixed environments, and working successfully across a corporate/business unit structures and across region(s);
- Demonstrated success of advising and partnering with senior leaders and C-level executives on strategic issues;
- Ability to understand the dynamics of the business both internally and externally, including the impact of the outside market, competitive landscape and other pressures;
- Ability and willingness to perform both strategic and tactical elements of the role;
- Strong writing and editing skills with proven expertise in using different styles to reflect the nature of the stakeholder, audience and message;
- English and Spanish advanced skills are required; Portuguese skills are a plus.
