Role SummaryThe Senior Backend Engineer is a crucial position within Vingcard | ASSA ABLOY, primarily responsible for designing, developing and maintaining robust backend solutions that power our develop and maintain backend applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Java, and Kotlin.Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment.Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems.Ensure high performance and responsiveness of the application.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current backend technologies and best practices.Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers, helping them navigate technical challenges and grow in their careers.Ensure adherence to best practices in software self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.6+ years of professional experience in backend development.Proven experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.Familiarity with Git versioning systems.LanguagesProficiency in English for listening, reading and writing.Intermediate speaking skills in English.Proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese.Computer SkillsProficiency in software development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines.Proficiency in Java/Kotlin.Deep knowledge of Spring MVC and/or Spring Boot.Proficiency in interacting with relational databases.Working knowledge of distributed architectures and messaging systems (RabbitMQ, AMQP, etc).Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes, etc).ExperienceSoftware Engineer, Backend Engineer or similar position.Minimum 6 years of
