WHAT YOU'LL DO
Work with a global team of network engineers maintaining & ensuring operational stability and continuous service improvement;
Work with SAP's engineering and architecture teams in order to provide operational expertise in concept development;
Be part of an effective collaboration model, bringing together various teams and units that design, build and run core components of our cloud network Infrastructure Platform;
Engage with broad range of suppliers, internal and external stakeholders and other groups and teams, owning the end-to-end operating model of the network operations;
Support network improvement and lifecycle projects in order to maintain a state of the art functional network infrastructure.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Deep experience working and supporting production customer-facing SaaS environments.
Maintain and operate cloud network services infrastructure with focus on managing Public Cloud Networking on GCP and Azure.
Good working knowledge on F5 LTM load balancers and creating scripts using iRules.
Good in-depth knowledge of Advanced WAF and DDoS functionality on F5 LTM and ability to fine-tune policies based on traffic patterns.
Excellent knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls along with Threat Prevention/URL filtering modules.
Knowledge of CDN Networking using Akamai or Cloudflare.
Knowledge of managing Public DNS and SMTP services.
Implement network infrastructure automation tasks via Terraform, Ansible and Python.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Understanding of cloud platform network infrastructure and operations; ideally with F5 and Palo Alto is useful.
Technical skills in BGP, VPN, IPSEC, VPC, LTM, SSL certs; Network Security skills desired – L3/L4 firewalling, WAF, DDoS, Bot Management, URL filtering, etc.
GCP/Azure Public Cloud skills are required and AWS is preferred.
Experience in network automation in cloud environments is preferred.
Soft skills: Abstract problem-solving skills, high level of commitment and reliability, good communication skills, self-sufficient working attitude and a real team player.
