The Job
The Quality Assurance Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of textile samples produced overseas. This position will involve closely monitoring sample testing processes, managing quality reports, and overseeing the various stages of sample testing and inspection.
Duties/Responsibilities
Sample Testing Management:
Coordinate and oversee the testing of textile samples to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with production teams to establish testing criteria and guidelines.
Ensure samples are tested using appropriate methods and equipment.
Monitor and track the quality status of production samples
Ensure that sale ready samples meet established quality standards and are ready for client presentation.
Oversee the testing and inspection of production samples before mass production.
Work closely with overseas teams to ensure consistent quality across production batches.
Document and report any discrepancies or defects identified during production sample testing.
Coordinate photo sample process for documentation and presentation purposes.
Quality Report Management:
Create, maintain, and organize quality reports for each sample, documenting testing procedures and results.
Analyze and interpret quality data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Communicate quality findings to relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Test Results/Management:
Monitor and track the results of initial sample tests, documenting any deviations from standards.
Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues discovered during the 1st test phase.
Maintain accurate records of 1st test results and related actions taken.
Monitor and track the results of third party testing conducted on samples.
Review third party inspection reports and compare findings with internal quality assessments.
Collaborate with external testing agencies to address any discrepancies or concerns.
Maintain a comprehensive record of third party inspection reports, ensuring documentation is uptodate and accessible.
Use inspection reports to evaluate product quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
Inventory & Vendor Quality Assurance:
Work collaboratively with the internal warehouse team and leadership to audit, inspect, and compare inventory to ensure it meets the expectations set by third-party quality vendors.
Hold vendors and suppliers accountable for meeting established quality standards and address any non-conformities proactively.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
The Profile
Qualifications:
1-2 years experience in quality assurance within the textile or wholesale industry
Proven experience in quality assurance within the textile industry.
Strong understanding of textile testing methodologies and quality standards.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with overseas teams.
Proficiency in using quality management tools and software.
Knowledge of third party inspection processes and procedures.
Ability to interpret and analyze testing data and reports.
