Job Title: Cloud Platform Developer/PythonWe are seeking a highly skilled Python engineer to join our team in developing and supporting new tools and processes for an on-prem private cloud application.Key Responsibilities:Develop high-performance cloud and container technologies using Python as the primary programming language.Design and deliver high-quality solutions and code that meet the highest standards of quality, security, and reliability.Develop unit tests to improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensure that all code changes are thoroughly tested before deployment.Investigate and resolve issues reported during testing and customer integration, working closely with stakeholders to identify root causes and implement fixes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain a highly available orchestration platform used to deploy private cloud platforms worldwide.Essential Skills:Backend developer experience with Python, with a strong understanding of Linux Essentials.Moderate knowledge of computer hardware, processes, programs, and the components of the Linux Operating System.Proficiency in working on the command line and with files, including creating and restoring compressed backups and archives.System security expertise, including users/groups and file permissions for public and private directories.Ability to create and run simple scripts using Python or other languages.Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP protocols and transport layers.Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and infrastructure.Experience collaborating effectively across remote teams and time zones, and with Senior Technical Leaders.Proficiency in GIT, JIRA, Gitlab, and code review tools.Experience with container technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.Desirable Skills:Kubernetes App Development expertise.PostgreSQL database management system knowledge.RabbitMQ message broker expertise.
