Key to this role is the ability to design and build efficient server-side components.Design clean and maintainable code for APIs and databases.Implement RESTful APIs, manage data validation, and handle errors, integrating with external services when necessary.Optimize databases for performance, maintaining data integrity and working with various database systems.Conduct unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality code and identify bugs.For success in this position, you will need:Strong knowledge of Java programming language, including core concepts, syntax, and best practices.Experience in building server-side applications and APIs using Java frameworks like Spring Boot.Proficiency in relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including SQL, data modeling, and database optimization.Familiarity with popular Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring Framework, Hibernate, or Apache Kafka.Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and software testing principles.Proficiency in version control systems like Git for code management and collaboration.Here are some of the key skills required:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in the backend code and infrastructure.Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, such as caching, indexing, and query optimization.This role also requires cloud experience, specifically:Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, deploying and managing applications for scalability and performance.
