About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled software architect to join our team, focused on building large-scale and low-latency data platforms.This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can design and implement complex solutions, drive technical excellence, and enhance our backend infrastructure.You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improve existing systems, ensuring high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation.Responsibilities:Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs.Lead and own DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline management, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration.Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring secure, reproducible, and automated deployments.Work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improve existing systems.Ensure disaster recovery readiness and compliance with security best practices.Manage and optimize AWS services (S3, RDS, EventBridge, SQS, IAM, VPC, ECR, etc.).Deploy and manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and Docker images in production environments.Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and drive root cause analysis.Requirements:8+ years of professional experience in functional programming, with Node.js / JavaScript.Proven experience with DevOps practices and cloud-native environments.Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.Expertise with AWS (S3, RDS, EventBridge, SQS, DMS, Security Groups, IAM, VPCs, ECR).Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, RDS).Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.Familiarity with Terraform (infrastructure as code).Solid understanding of application security and use of security tools.Strong debugging, issue resolution, and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.Pragmatic mindset with a strong sense of ownership and craftsmanship.Avenue Code ensures the privacy of all candidates in compliance with regulations such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and CPRA.
