Our company is looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our Billing Engineering team.The ideal candidate will have experience designing, building, and maintaining Golang-based microservices that power our billing systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop RESTful APIs that interface with external financial and operational systems.Work with event-driven systems and streaming architectures using Kafka.Manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver new features and maintain operational excellence.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across distributed systems.Requirements5+ years of professional backend development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Golang (or proven ability to quickly ramp up).Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices.Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar).Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Bonus SkillsExperience integrating with ERP systems such as Oracle, Workday, Anaplan, or NetSuite.Familiarity with API standards and tools (Swagger/OpenAPI, OAuth, JWT).Exposure to Temporal or similar orchestration tools.Knowledge of distributed systems, security best practices, and observability.
