Senior SAP ABAP DeveloperClient Location:USA (Remote)Duration:12+ Month ContractGlobalSource IT is working with a direct client that is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join their team.This role is open due to the recent retirement of a long-tenured ABAP developer, and the client is looking to bring on an experienced contractor to help support and enhance their SAP environment.This is a fully remote, long-term contract (12+ months) supporting a highly customized SAP ECC 6.0 landscape.The successful candidate must be comfortable remaining in ECC for the foreseeable future, as the client is not yet moving to S/4HANA.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and support ABAP solutions within a highly customized ECC 6.0 environmentProvide procurement-related ABAP development and enhancementsSupport system integrations, including inbound and outbound interfacesPerform bug fixes, minor enhancements, table updates, and occasional production supportCollaborate with functional teams and external vendors during upcoming integration effortsAdapt to changing priorities and take ownership of assigned work with minimal oversightRequired Skills & Experience:Strong, well-rounded SAP ABAP development experience in ECC 6.0Procurement-related development experience (MM/P2P focus)Integration experience (Coupa integration strongly preferred)Solid experience with IDOCs and EDIWorking knowledge of SmartForms and SAPScriptAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, highly customized environmentExcellent communication skills and the ability to work CST business hoursUpcoming Projects:Major global Coupa implementation planned later this yearCoupa will replace Ariba globally, beginning in North AmericaPrior to Coupa ramp-up, work will focus on:Minor enhancementsBug fixesTable updatesOccasional production supportAdditional Requirements:Must be comfortable working in SAP ECC for *****+ months without immediate S/4HANA exposureAdaptable, autonomous, and able to "wear multiple hats" in a lean team environment
