**Job Description**:
We are looking for a **Senior Analyst** to join Wood Mackenzie's Power and Renewables team in **Brazil**.
For this role, fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese and English is required.
Proficiency in both Portuguese and Spanish is a plus.
Our Power and Renewables research team is a highly respected group of analysts producing market-leading research on the entire renewable energy value chain.
Our cutting-edge knowledge of solar power and wind supply chains, costs, deployments, and investment trends further strengthens Wood Mackenzie's offerings in the market during this rapidly changing time in the energy sector.
The Senior Analyst is responsible for analysis of the Latin America solar PV market, which includes Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
As the regional thought leader, he/she will be the internal and external point of contact for solar power in the region.
Key responsibilities of the role will include writing reports, aggregating and summarizing project-level datasets, communicating with key industry stakeholders, tracking the regional solar market activity and forecasting installation volumes and pricing trends.
The Senior Analyst is expected to conduct original quantitative and qualitative research on the market and deliver analysis through written reports, public speaking, addressing customer inquiries and custom research engagements and/or consulting projects.
He/ she is also expected to correspond with, present to, and advise if necessary main stakeholders within the Latin American solar industry on analysis regarding the solar power landscape and general market dynamics.
The Senior Analyst will work closely with other power and renewables regional research analysts to ensure the timely and accurate provision of all relevant data.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Responsible for all analysis relating to the Latin American solar PV market
- Own and be the project lead on regional and global research products: produce in-depth reports analysing Latin American solar PV market trends - this includes market reports as well as ad-hoc research insights responding to current events impacting the regional solar markets
- Contribute to the global quarterly solar power market outlook by producing an annual installation forecast for the Latin American region over a 10-year period
- Liaise on an ongoing basis with the regional Research Analysts and the broader Power & Renewables team to ensure the timely and accurate provision of all relevant data, analyses and forecasts for all research publications
- Collaborate with other analysts globally to leverage best practices across the organization
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts in the Latin America region to get on-the-ground intelligence on market happenings
- Support sales team in relation to client/prospect conversations on Latin American solar markets and/or the Global solar service
- Support clients with queries on Latin American PV markets
- Support Wood Mackenzie's consulting team where appropriate
- Establish an industry presence as an influential speaker and thinker and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Latin America solar PV sector
- Monitor and maintain relevant solar PV data for the region by conducting and/or guiding primary and secondary desk research including market dynamics, business models, market developments and financial strategies
- Support global and regional LCoE research efforts
- Support automatization processes, data collection and quality control efforts with the respective Data teams
