Freight Readiness Specialist

Job OverviewThe Freight Readiness Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of vessel operations, monitoring account performance, and proactively approaching customers to enhance cargo readiness levels.Key Responsibilities:Continuously monitor vessel volume and maintain accurate information within our systems.Generate comprehensive reports on cargo readiness metrics.Send timely notifications to customers based on vessel performance reports.Collect customer feedback and update cargo readiness documentation accordingly.Present vessel shortfall results and key offenders to cargo management and sales teams.Initiate vessel cleanup by disregarding bookings not meeting draft deadlines.Manage cargo loads effectively and transfer bookings missing deadlines to the next available vessel.Collaborate closely with Cargo Management to obtain vessel performance updates and contribute to strategy development.Provide assistance to customers experiencing terminal window issues.RequirementsTo succeed as a Freight Readiness Specialist, you will need:A degree in Administration, Foreign Trade, Logistics, or a related field.Intermediate English language proficiency (mandatory), with Advanced skills being desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Office Package applications, particularly Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.Understanding of data-driven decision making principles.
