Stay in touch with industry directions and have strong opinions about system architecture, engineering, and maintenance.Do full stack engineering – experience across the technology stack: infrastructure, client side, back end, performance, data, and related areas.Developing people – inspire those around you to achieve their potential and bring A-players into the team, integrating them into the business.What you'll need to succeedExtremely proficient in at least 1 programming language (Java, Scala, C#)Strong experience in systems architecture – complex, scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systemsDemonstrable experience as a system owner with operational responsibilityProficient in lower level engineering (garbage collection, context switching, threading)DevOps culture – Agile, leanness, automation, CI/CDGood understanding of application securityPassionate about technology and the InternetMust have worked in a successful agile development teamMust have run engineering teams before with 5+ direct reportsAble to operate autonomously: make decisions, set KPIs, with a strong sense of ownershipPractices data-driven decision makingNice to haveProficiency in more than one programming languageEqual Opportunity EmployerAt Agoda, we pride ourselves on being a company represented by people of all different backgrounds and orientations.
