With a proactive, hands-on attitude, the
Sponsorship Activation Senior Specialist
will support and implement Betano's sponsorships programme. This includes organising, leading, executing and monitoring the annual activation plan, while playing a key role in shaping the department's strategy in Brazil.
Responsibilities:
Manage the contractual rights delivery, including contract control and activations execution, to maximize the value of current partnerships;
Regularly liaise and meet with rights holders and the activation agency to guarantee proper execution of the annual activation plan;
Lead the hospitality programme in collaboration with the activation agency;
Gather and analyse data to regularly update sponsorship KPIs and assess return on objectives;
Support the design of the annual activation plan by contributing with creative and innovative ideas of activations to build brand awareness, drive engagement and promote experiences;
Create report presentations for internal weekly updates;
Review the weekly activation calendar, ensuring seamless alignment between the activation agency and rights holders for all planned initiatives;
Proactively anticipate upcoming activations each month, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth execution;
Core responsibilities include keeping internal tracking tools (JIRA and spreadsheets) updated with sponsorship agreements, monitoring sponsorship performance data, and maintaining consistent communication with both the sponsorship team and external partners to ensure all activations remain on track and up to date;
Plan, organise, control and follow up on the execution of activations;
Track and control the delivery of sponsorship assets;
What you will bring:
Experience in a marketing or sponsorship role within the sports industry or a brand involved with sports;
BA in marketing or a relevant field;
Experience with sponsorship projects;
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends in sports marketing;
Availability to attend sports events nationwide;
Being a sports fan is a plus;
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English;
Proficiency in Jira (Atlassian) is a plus;
Proficiency in Office 365, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
Strong organization skills, with the ability to maintain an overview of overall projects while meeting critical milestones;
Innovation and creativity in problem-solving;
Hands-on mindset – this role may require presence at outside events, operating in a fast-paced football environment;
Experience with sports events – background from a rights holder, media, or brand perspective is essential;
Agile and adaptable – proven ability to thrive and remain effective in dynamic, high-stakes situations;
Strong organizational skills – skilled at managing complex projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders;
Collaborative team player – demonstrated success working across cross-functional teams and communicating with diverse audiences;
Brand activation and fan engagement – deep understanding of strategies specific to the sports industry.
Nice to have:
Presentation skills – both design and oral, incorporating storytelling and engaging visual communication;
Data analysis skills – conducting studies to assess sponsorship impact, interpreting quantitative and qualitative information, and drawing actionable insights from business data;
Understanding of the betting industry.
