We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Linux Systems Expert to join our team.As a senior member, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the real-time data systems powering a leading financial institution.Key Responsibilities:Identify and resolve data quality issues, including root cause analysis, while collaborating with internal and external vendors to address data-related problems.Participate in on-call rotations, incident management, problem resolution, and change management to ensure uptime and performance of global trading and data services.Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data in real-time by implementing monitoring tools to detect data anomalies.Collaborate with regional and global Market Data Infrastructure teams to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices to deliver high-quality services.Leverage technical expertise to manage alerts that require complex resolutions, create or update resolutions in knowledge bases, run books, scripts, and ITRS rules.Manage the incident lifecycle from identification to resolution, minimizing business impact in production environments.Oversee the process of making production changes to the ticker plant, including mandatory updates, content changes, software upgrades, and vendor-performed checkouts.Support release management, event management, user support, and reporting efforts.Requirements:At least 7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or production support roles.Expertise in Linux System Administration and familiarity with Windows operating systems.Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Bash and/or Python.Strong networking and connectivity skills, including multicast, routing, switches, and TCP/IP.Excellent communication and written English skills are essential.Understanding of ITIL Foundation and industry best practices.Prior experience in banking, investment, or other financial IT environments is advantageous.Desirable Skills:Experience with ITRS Geneos, EXEGY (Wombat/Vela), or Market Data platforms (Refinitiv TREP/RTDS, Bloomberg).Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS ECS, AWS VPC, and Google Cloud.Knowledge of version control systems like GitHub/GitLab and automation pipelines.
