About our organizationWe offer a business-in-a-box solution for beauty and wellness professionals, providing space, digital storefronts, wholesale access, payments, insurance and more.We are backed by leading venture capital funds and industry leaders, building the future of independent beauty businesses.The RoleA senior software engineer will own feature development, maintain systems, and ensure a seamless user experience.This is an individual contributor position, requiring meetings and video calls as needed.ResponsibilitiesFull-stack product development, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and deploying updates.Bug fixing and system maintenance to keep the platform stable and performant.API and payment integrations with third-party services like Square and Stripe.Legacy code refactoring to improve structure, maintainability, and performance.DevOps and deployment management, ensuring smooth releases.Upholding high standards for code quality through automated/manual testing and best practices.RequirementsStrong expertise in Python, Django, ReactJS, Typescript, NextJS, AWS, and Ruby.Experience with legacy Python projects and Stripe/Square integrations.Solid grasp of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.Comfort with Linux and command-line tools.Proven experience in a similar role at a U.S. startup (Seed or Series A).
Track record of designing and building products from scratch.Excellent problem-solving skills and ownership.Portuguese language proficiency required.Ability to quickly learn and adapt new technologies.Approximately 4 hours per week commitment.
