OverviewZicasso is a leading luxury travel company that creates personalized, life-enriching experiences for discerning travelers.
This international, fully remote, freelance contractor position is intended for candidates based outside the United States, with a preference for applicants in Latin America.
The role involves leveraging data analysis and modeling to drive strategic decision-making and improve operations, customer experiences, and business performance.The work is conducted in English and offers flexibility in hours, with overlap aimed at California time (e.g., until 3pm Pacific Time).
Our global team collaborates across five continents, with bi-annual in-person retreats to share ideas and strengthen culture.ResponsibilitiesLead the analysis of large, complex datasets to uncover strategic insights that drive product innovation and business growthLead the design, development, validation, and refinement of advanced predictive models and AI-driven solutions—including machine learning and NLP—to optimize customer journeys, improve demand/supply forecasting, deliver personalized recommendations, and achieve high customer satisfactionCollaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer experience teams to identify data-driven opportunities for conversion, retention, and engagement improvementsDesign, implement, and interpret A/B tests and multi-variant experiments to evaluate and optimize product and operational initiativesDevelop and maintain dashboards and automated reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making, partnering with data engineering on scalable data infrastructureCollaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data quality and consistency for accurate analysis and modelingCommunicate complex technical insights effectively to both technical teams and executive stakeholdersProvide training on utilizing data analysis and reports and foster a data-centric culture across the organizationRequired ExperienceMinimum 5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or related role in fast-moving, data-intensive environmentsHands-on expertise in AI, machine learning, and NLP techniques, including model development, tuning, and validationStrong proficiency in Python or R, with demonstrated experience implementing ML pipelines and frameworksAdvanced SQL skills, with experience working on large-scale, relational and/or distributed datasetsExperience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platformsStrong problem-solving skills, with ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into actionable analytics projectsEffective collaborator with experience working independently in remote team environmentsQualificationsMaster\'s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or related quantitative disciplineDeep understanding of statistical modeling, ML algorithms, AI frameworks, and experimental designProven ability to communicate complex quantitative insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPassion for leveraging data, AI, and ML to create exceptional customer experiences and measurable business impactWhat We OfferRemote work from your home base with flexible hours for work-life balanceInnovative, fast-paced, collaborative culture that values diverse voicesLearning and development annual budgetTwo company-sponsored business trips each year to international destinations we serveDetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: ContractJob function: IT Services and IT ConsultingIndustries: IT Services and IT ConsultingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Zicasso.
