Database Engineer Job DescriptionWe're looking for a skilled Database Engineer to lead the design and optimization of our global, multi-cloud data infrastructure.The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in AWS, Azure, and modern data stack tools.This role requires a highly experienced professional with excellent communication and collaboration skills, both technical and non-technical teams.You will have hands-on experience with data orchestration tools, monitoring and observability tools, and implementing cost governance frameworks in cloud data environments.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing global data infrastructure across multiple regions, optimizing for latency, availability, and compliance with international data standards.Additionally, you will own and evolve the architecture of core databases and warehouses, including Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, and MongoDB.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance data pipelines using AWS Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, Azure Data Factory, and Python.To succeed in this position, you should have a strong background in cloud computing, data engineering, and database administration.Experience with DevOps practices, containerization, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) is highly desirable.We offer competitive salaries, 100% remote work, paid time off, national holidays celebrated, sick leave, refundable annual credit, team-building activities, birthday day off, and more.Requirements and QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field6+ years of experience working as Data Engineer, Database Engineer, or Cloud Data ArchitectStrong Python and SQL skills for workflow development and optimizationBenefitsCompetitive USD salary100% remote workPaid time offNational holidays celebratedSick leaveRefundable annual creditTeam-building activitiesBirthday day off
