OverviewJob Title: Python Software Engineer (with ML Background) — Location: RemoteWe are seeking a skilled Python Software Engineer with a solid background in software engineering and exposure to machine learning.The ideal candidate will work with Polars as the primary data frame library and contribute to building, testing, and optimizing data-driven solutions.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize data workflows using Python and Polars.Write clean, maintainable code with strong software engineering principles.Implement and maintain unit testing and end-to-end testing.Utilize Docker for testing and development environments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Apply a foundational understanding of machine learning concepts in project work.Contribute to projects requiring some Ruby coding support.Must-Have Skills & RequirementsStrong proficiency in Python.Solid software engineering skills (design, architecture, and best practices).Experience working with Polars (or similar data frame libraries).Knowledge of unit testing and end-to-end testing frameworks.Hands-on experience with Docker for testing purposes.Exposure to GCP services.Basic understanding of machine learning concepts.Good to have some experience with Ruby.About the CompanyAugment was started in 2015 in Madison, Wisconsin USA.We offer Digital Innovation, Application Development, and Staff Augmentation services to clients in the USA.We are a 70+ person team headquartered in Madison, WI with offices in Coimbatore, Brazil and Eastern Europe.We strive to attract and retain top talent within a high-achieving, knowledgeable, and diverse team.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesTechnology, Information and Internet#J-18808-Ljbffr
