Job Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, cost control, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in improving operational performance, managing cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities Operations & Production Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met Develop and implement operational plans to improve efficiency, productivity, and throughput Coordinate production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation Process Improvement Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.) Analyze KPIs and operational data to drive performance improvements Implement best practices to reduce waste, downtime, and operational costs People Management Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and operational teams Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Support recruitment, training, and performance management of operations staff Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Maintain quality control standards and work closely with QA/QC teams Drive a strong safety culture and ensure incident reporting and corrective actions Supply Chain & Stakeholder Collaboration Collaborate with procurement, logistics, maintenance, and planning teams to ensure smooth operations Manage inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess stock Work closely with senior leadership to align operational goals with business strategy Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field 10 years of experience in a manufacturing operations role, with at least 5 years in a management position Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality systems Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred) Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and operational reporting tools
