Job SummaryThe Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, cost control, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in improving operational performance, managing cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing facility.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & ProductionOversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are metDevelop and implement operational plans to improve efficiency, productivity, and throughputCoordinate production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocationProcess ImprovementIdentify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)Analyze KPIs and operational data to drive performance improvementsImplement best practices to reduce waste, downtime, and operational costsPeople ManagementLead, coach, and develop production supervisors and operational teamsFoster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvementSupport recruitment, training, and performance management of operations staffQuality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsMaintain quality control standards and work closely with QA/QC teamsDrive a strong safety culture and ensure incident reporting and corrective actionsSupply Chain & Stakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with procurement, logistics, maintenance, and planning teams to ensure smooth operationsManage inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess stockWork closely with senior leadership to align operational goals with business strategyQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field10 years of experience in a manufacturing operations role, with at least 5 years in a management positionStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality systemsExperience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred)Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and people management skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilitiesProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsProficiency in ERP/MRP systems and operational reporting tools
