Lead Tax StrategistOur Tax team drives compliance and optimizes our tax position by handling tax planning, reporting, and risk management.We collaborate closely with other departments to deliver efficiencies.Key Responsibilities:Manage direct and indirect taxes, ensuring adherence to current legislation while minimizing the tax burdenPrepare and submit timely tax returns for both direct and indirect taxesMonitor tax compliance processes and work with internal accounting teams to meet tax obligationsManage federal, state, and municipal tax audits, coordinating documentation and communicating with auditors and tax authoritiesAnalyze changes in tax legislation and assess potential business impacts, providing recommendations for complianceRequired Skills and Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law; Advanced degree or CPA certification preferredSignificant experience in direct and indirect taxes, tax compliance, and tax planningKnowledge of Transfer Pricing and participation in external auditsExcellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with various stakeholdersBenefits:Temu is an equal opportunities employer dedicated to building a diverse community.Language Proficiency:Fluent in Portuguese (native proficiency)Fluent in English (written & spoken)
