Highly Skilled Linux Infrastructure Expert

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux System Administration and extensive experience in infrastructure, systems, or production support roles.The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing real-time data systems powering a leading investment bank's global trading and data services.This includes handling alert and incident management, problem resolution, and system improvements to ensure uptime and performance.Key Responsibilities:Resolve Data quality issues through root cause analysis and manage internal and external vendors to resolve Data issues.Support On-call, incident management, problem and change managements.Ensure optimal accuracy and timeliness of Data on a real-time basis by implementing monitoring tools to detect data issues.Collaborate with regional and global Market Data Infrastructure teams to share knowledge and experience.Manage L2 Alerts requiring knowledge for resolutions and create/update resolutions into knowledge base, run books, scripts, and ITRS rules.Manage Incident lifecycle from identification to resolution, ensuring mitigation of business impact in production environment.Manage Change process for production changes to the ticker plant, including Mandatory updates, content, software changes/upgrades performed by vendors or internal teams.Other responsibilities include Release Management, Event Management, User support, and Reporting.What We're Looking For?Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or production support roles.Highly skilled in Linux System Administration.Experience in Windows operating systems.Scripting proficiency (Bash and/or Python preferred).Experience with networking and connectivity skills (e.g., multicast, routing, switches, TCP/IP).Good communication and oral/written English skills required.Understanding of ITIL Foundation and IT Best practices.Prior experience in banking, investment, or other financial IT environments advantageous.Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with ITRS Geneos, EXEGY (Wombat/Vela), or Market Data platforms (Refinitiv TREP/RTDS, Bloomberg).Familiarity with AWS ECS, AWS VPC, Google Cloud.Experience with GitHub/GitLab and automation pipelines.
