Join to apply for the Data Engineer role at Ryz Labs.Ryz Labs is looking for a Data Engineer to help enhance and stabilize the data monitoring system for one of our biggest clients.The role focuses on building robust, scalable, and proactive alerting workflows to ensure high data quality and reliability across pipelines.You will collaborate with the data engineering team to improve orchestration and monitoring using tools like Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and AWS services.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement a resilient data monitoring framework to improve incident detection and reduce false positives.Enhance alerting mechanisms for pipeline failures, data anomalies, and data freshness across Snowflake and dbt models.Streamline orchestration and dependency management in Airflow to increase reliability and observability.Integrate AWS DMS, Kinesis, and Firehose monitoring into our centralized alerting system.Collaborate with stakeholders to define SLAs and implement meaningful metrics for data health.Document monitoring architecture and ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams.Qualifications:Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and metadata management.Experience creating and maintaining dbt models with test coverage and clear documentation.Expertise in managing Airflow DAGs, handling retries, and structuring tasks for reliability and visibility; experience with Astronomer is a bonus.Deep familiarity with AWS DMS, Kinesis, and Firehose, especially around monitoring and alerting integrations.Experience with data monitoring tools or custom observability frameworks.About RYZ Labs:RYZ Labs is a startup studio founded in **** by entrepreneurs with experience at major tech companies and iconic brands.Based in Argentina, the team is remote and distributed across the US and Latam.We leverage cutting-edge cloud technologies to build scalable, resilient applications and aim to create multiple startups in the coming years.At RYZ, you will work with autonomy, ownership, and opportunities for growth.We foster an environment of learning, innovation, and challenging projects, where you can deepen your expertise and collaborate with talented professionals.Our core values include:Customer First MentalityBias for ActionOwnershipHumility and RespectFrugalityDeliver ImpactRaise our StandardsAdditional Details:Seniority level: Not ApplicableEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Information TechnologyIndustries: Technology, Information and Internet#J-*****-Ljbffr
