Job Title: Head of Email & Retention Employment type: Contractor – Full-Time Hours Remote status: Fully remote Start date: November Base Salary: $48,000/year + Plus Rev Share (uncapped earnings) About the Role: We're expanding Brick's service offering to include email and retention marketing as a core growth channel - and we're looking for someone highly experienced to build this department from the ground up.This isn't a fulfilment role.It's a department ownership role.You'll be responsible for: Defining the offer Setting pricing and packages Building systems and processes Hiring freelancers for delivery Managing client communication and reporting Driving growth and performance Scaling the division profitably Meeting and reporting into Brick's leadership team You'll step in as the Head of Email & Retention with the autonomy to shape how this division runs - while having access to an existing roster of eCommerce brands ready to upsell.What You'll Own: 1. Service Offer Creation You will be responsible for designing: Core service tiers Scope of deliverables per tier Pricing structure & margins Packaging for both upsell & new acquisition 2. Department Build-Out You will create and implement: Onboarding systems & client workflows SOPs, templates, and reporting structure Approval and revision processes Internal team or freelancer model 3. Team & Fulfillment Management You will: Source and manage freelancers (copy, design, SMS, Klaviyo builds) Delegate execution efficiently Own QA, briefs, and sign-off Build a scalable internal structure 4. Client Strategy & Delivery Oversight You'll lead: Email/SMS strategy per client Flow and campaign planning Account performance and retention reporting Communication & approvals 5. Growth & Revenue You're responsible for: Upselling existing Brick clients Supporting new business sales calls and presenting audits Retaining and growing email accounts Owning performance targets and profitability Compensation: Base: $48,000/year (paid as a full-time contractor) Rev Share (Per Client): You'll earn additional revenue per retained client you manage, structured as a predictable monthly rev share based on the package tier.This is uncapped - your earnings grow with the department.What You'll Get Access To: A warm pipeline of existing eCommerce clients Sales support from the founders Operational infrastructure and systems Freedom to build the department your way Flexible contractor setup High long-term earning potential Who This Is For: You're a fit if you: Have led email/SMS at an agency or for multiple DTC brands Can build offers and systems - not just deliver campaigns Know Klaviyo, segmentation, flows, deliverability, and reporting Have managed teams or freelance fulfilment Understand retention economics and client lifetime value Want autonomy and upside, not a rigid 9–5 role Thrive in a builder/leadership position What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months): Service packages + pricing launched Onboarding + deliverable workflows live Freelance roster in place First 3–5 clients onboarded (upsell + new) Reporting + QA systems running smoothly Positive ROI on department revenue Division ready to scale
