Atenção: para esta posição, é necessário inglês em nível avançado ou fluente, com capacidade para gerir equipes, realizar contatos diários e interagir com times globais.Join the Tecumseh TeamAt Tecumseh, a multinational company with over 90 years of history and presence in more than 8 countries, we are looking for talented professionals to join our team.If you are driven by innovation, energy, and the desire to make a difference, this is the place for youSummaryThis is anon-site position at our plant in São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil.The role is responsible for overseeing the Product Engineering Laboratories (Application and Development Laboratory – LAD, in Brazil and the USA) as well as the prototype and engineering sample manufacturing processes, ensuring proper planning, development, evaluation, and process control.It involves providing technical guidance to the team and leading initiatives related to the implementation of technical standards and quality management systems in compliance with ISO/IEC *****, ensuring standardization and adherence to both internal and external requirements.Strategically, the focus will be on continuously implementing best practices in processes and metrology technologies, including the integration of data analytics and artificial intelligence to accelerate and optimize testing, ensuring high performance across the laboratories.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the strategy of the areas under your responsibility, ensuring compliance with engineering programs according to required technical standards and aligned with engineering, company, and corporate plans.Ensure the production of engineering samples/prototypes and product testing to validate functionality in accordance with required technical parameters.Oversee the production of customer samples, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and technical requirements.Secure all necessary certifications and testing documentation with the appropriate regulatory bodies.Drive continuous improvement in internal processes and in the management system of LAD (Application and Development Laboratory) and Samples, through corrective actions and other management tools.Develop new specifications, methodologies, and testing reports to be applied at LAD, ensuring accuracy and quality of results.Collaborate with other engineering departments in defining product concepts, components, standards, and specifications to support new product development.Keep up to date with technological advances in testing methods and resources, integrating data analytics and artificial intelligence to optimize and accelerate testing.Ensure proper functionality of LAD equipment and instruments, managing preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as calibration processes.Safeguard the infrastructure of LAD and Samples, being responsible for evaluating and approving internal and external services.Guarantee the availability of resources and supplies required to conduct tests and provide technical support for LAD and Samples.Plan and control laboratory budgets and CAPEX.Consistently promote and disseminate the company's mission, vision, values, LAD quality policies, and engineering strategies.Continuously monitor and assess team performance, providing feedback, promoting development, and ensuring qualification aligned with departmental goals and needs.Required Qualifications And SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering.Availability to work on-site at our plant in São Carlos, SP (Brazil), and to travel internationally on a recurring basis.Advanced or fluent English, essential for team management and interaction with global teams.Knowledge in instrumentation and automation.Experience in new product development.Strong understanding of thermodynamics.Familiarity with ISO/IEC ***** standards.About Tecumseh Do BrasilA subsidiary of the North American company Tecumseh Products Company, Tecumseh do Brasil was founded in November **** and is located in São Carlos, one of the most prosperous regions in the State of São Paulo, Brazil.The city is nationally recognized for its key industrial, scientific, and technological hubs.We operate a modern industrial complex with a total area of 803,000 m2 and 145,000 m2 of built-up area.Our two plants are fully integrated in the production of hermetic compressors for domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning, as well as electrical and electronic components and cast products.As an essential industry, Tecumseh products are designed to enhance users' well-being and are found in end products used for food refrigeration, vaccines, blood banks, automotive vehicles, cold storage rooms, and air conditioners, among others.Globally recognized for delivering added innovation, customer trust, and high-quality products, we make a difference in the lives of millions of people.Join our team and experience the pride of being part of #ProudToBeTecumseh
