Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Operations Lead to play a key role in managing the financial, accounting, and administrative functions of our Brazilian operations.The successful candidate will oversee the activities of the external accounting firm, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.They will lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial planning, cost control, and variance analysis.The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Fluent Portuguese language skills are essential for this role, and advanced English proficiency is highly desirable.ResponsibilitiesOur ideal candidate will be responsible for:Managing current and future contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and efficient resource allocationMaintaining control of fixed assets, including registration, depreciation, and reconciliationSupervising procurement, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processesPreparing and delivering financial and management reports to corporate headquartersStrengthening internal controls and improving administrative and financial proceduresLeading and developing the local team, promoting best practices in governance and operational efficiencyThey will work remotely, with frequent visits to the project site in northern Brazil (Pará region).RequirementsTo succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldProven experience in controllership and corporate finance, ideally within the mining, energy, or infrastructure sectorsStrong background managing third-party accounting services and financial complianceSolid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, contracts, and internal controlsAnalytical, proactive, and results-oriented profile with the ability to work independently
