Job Purpose
Ensuring that the school campus and facilities are well maintained in a manner that allows students to benefit from the state-of-the-art campus and the full range of a SABIS education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform corrective maintenance, detecting and repairing faults in equipment and the building, replacing, exchanging, cleaning, unclogging, repairing, assembling, adjusting and installing parts, components and equipment, taking care to reestablish the original condition of the building's functionality and other areas of the school, such as painting, masonry, hydraulics, plumbing, pipes, ducts, drains, gutters, sanitary appliances and installations, flush boxes, valves, registers, passage boxes, inspection boxes, grease traps, reservoirs, irrigation systems, pumps, filters, etc; according to good practices and to safety procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance of building installations, as planned in hydraulic installation, sanitary, mechanical installations, and others, analyzing the need for replacement of parts, components and items; monitor, inspect and carry out functional tests to ensure the full functionality of the assets/equipment and its conservation, according to good practices and to safety procedures.
- Move the material, furniture and equipment, receive goods and check whether they comply with the order.
Monitor service suppliers, ensuring that operational and safety procedures are followed, reporting possible failures in equipment and facilities and/or needs for major scale intervention planning, whether internal or external.
- Take care of any equipment, tools and material let to you by school used and take care of the school facilities, always using the PPE indicated for each type of work, keeping the workplace always clean and organized.
Report directly to your immediate superior the status of activities, actions and calls, always following the prioritization of activities and informing the need to acquire and replace parts, items, tools and equipment used for the safe execution of your work routine.
Report urgently directly to your immediate superior any unsafe situation and/or condition of any kind.
- Replace and eliminate leaks in sanitary appliances, pumps, water tanks, water pipes, sewage and rainwater ducts.
Clean and unclog gutters, septic tanks, rainwater pipes, grease traps, pipes in general, drains and sanitary installations in general.
- Perform preventive maintenance of electrical systems and power lines, as planned in electrical installation, mechanical installations, and others, analyzing the need for replacement of parts, components and items; monitor, inspect and carry out functional tests to ensure the full functionality of the assets/equipment and its conservation, according to good practices and to safety procedures.
Ideal Requirements:
- High School diploma required.
Technical certification will be a plus
- Portuguese Proficient
- Intermediate English proficiency will be a plus
- NR-35.
NR-10 will be a plus
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the maintenance field
- Good experience in the MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems)
- Good experience in the minor civil construction repairs
- Professional Behavior and Ethical Conduct
