Global Agricultural Supply Chain Director

Please note: This role requires the successful candidate to relocate to Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu.We are establishing a dedicated function to strengthen our supply chain and ensure its future growth.As part of this initiative, we are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our efforts in ensuring a consistent and sustainable supply of raw materials—particularly kava.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier engagement, contract management, and risk management.They will be responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies that align with our company goals and sustainability initiatives.This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on agricultural expertise.The successful candidate will build strong partnerships with farmers, oversee compliance with food safety and sustainability standards, and guide their team to deliver reliable supply chain performance.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals and sustainability initiatives.Oversee raw material procurement, focusing on kava sourcing, quality control, and supplier relationships.Conduct farm visits to assess soil quality, cultivation practices, and compliance with sourcing standards.Lead farmer engagement through roundtable meetings, promoting best practices and sustainable methods.Manage warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, storage, and dispatch.Provide leadership to cross-functional teams.Collaborate with QA, Finance, HR, and Logistics teams to achieve business targets.Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across procurement and logistics.Drive continuous improvement through monitoring, analysis, and process optimisation.Becoming part of a growing business with international reach is just one of many benefits you will experience.We offer competitive remuneration packages and relocation support for the right candidate.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Business, or equivalent experience.5+ years' experience in supply chain, procurement, or agricultural sourcing (food or agribusiness preferred).Strong background in supplier engagement, contract management, and risk management.Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships.Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and rural development initiatives.
