Principal Development Architect - SAP Business Data Cloud Technology OfficeAt SAP, we enable you to bring out your best.Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better.We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work.SummaryWe're looking for a visionary Principal Development Architect to join SAP's Business Data Cloud Technology Office — a central team driving the future of SAP's data management strategy.This is a high-impact, cross-organizational role where you'll help define the architecture of our next-generation cloud services, influencing product direction across SAP and shaping how data powers intelligent enterprise solutions.What you'll doDefine the general and future architecture for the BDC&I cloud platform & service, and work first-hand with leading edge technologies.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and business partners to understand scenarios and needs, align concepts & ideas within the unit and across SAP.Contribute to paving the way for the development teams to adopt the concepts by creating and developing required organizational and process networks within the development in conjunction with product management.Embed in and drive architecture topics across the entire company along the central architecture alignment board of SAP.Work in a diverse & distributed team, driving architecture and technology strategy into actual project work and execution, together with the SAP BDC&I and LoB development organizations.Foster LoB adoption, as the success of the new Business Data Cloud Service heavily relies on the delivery of Data Products by the LoBs.What you bringDesire to work on the leading edge of cloud-based platform, analytics, data management, and Data Integration technologies, including emerging Lakehouse architectures / data fabric topics.Experience in Spark and Object Store technologies to support our Lakehouse architecture.Knowledge and experience in LoB specific data platform development projects.Track record of quickly adapting to new environments, balancing tradeoffs, and demonstrating flexible, pragmatic, and long-term thinking.Leverage AI technologies for data management and analytics, as well as contribution to technical building blocks which enable SAP's global Business AI.Profound experience in data integration technologies and enterprise applications.Established record of accomplishments as an architect with analytics and data management engineering teams.Practical experience with operating Cloud-scale services in production and working on topics around scaling and resilience.Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.Excellent communication skills, proven inter-personal and leadership skills to drive product- & technology-related discussions internally & externally.Ability to communicate and influence effectively at C suite and above.Self-motivation with a positive can-do attitude, eagerness, and ability to work quickly.Great work experience in large scale software development & architectural tasks.Profound knowledge in the cloud environment.Strong customer and partner orientation.Degree in Computer science or related fields.Meet your SAP BDC&I Development teamThe SAP BDC&I Development organization is tasked with bringing the powerful capabilities of SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and different application-specific Data Platform approaches together in a harmonized and seamlessly integrated way to harness the potential of the full information value chain.We win with inclusionSAP is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.We are committed to the values of Equal Employment Opportunity and provide accessibility accommodations to applicants with physical and/or mental disabilities.SAP is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.#J-18808-Ljbffr
