Please note: This role requires the successful candidate to relocate to a location outside their current one.Our company is a leading kava manufacturing and export business with deep agribusiness roots, partnering directly with local farmers in the purchase of raw materials and contributing to the sustainable development of our industry.As part of our long-term commitment to sustainability, community partnerships, and operational excellence, we are establishing a dedicated Supply Chain function within our business to strengthen this critical area and ensure the future of the industry.The Role:As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a consistent and sustainable supply of raw materials while driving efficiency across procurement, warehousing, and logistics.This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on expertise.You'll build strong partnerships with farmers, oversee compliance with safety and sustainability standards, and guide your team to deliver reliable supply chain performance.While the primary focus is on strengthening supply chain systems and farmer engagement, there may also be opportunities to explore partnerships that further strengthen our industry and contribute to its long-term sustainability.Key Responsibilities:Develop strategies that align with company goals and sustainability initiatives.Oversee raw material procurement, focusing on sourcing, quality control, and supplier relationships.Conduct farm visits to assess soil quality, cultivation practices, and compliance with sourcing standards.Lead farmer engagement through meetings, promoting best practices and sustainable methods.Manage warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, storage, and dispatch.Provide leadership to Procurement Field Officers and Warehouse Supervisor.Collaborate with QA, Finance, HR, and Logistics teams to achieve business targets.Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across procurement and logistics.Drive continuous improvement through monitoring, analysis, and process optimisation.Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, and SQF certification standards.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Business, or equivalent experience.5+ years' experience in supply chain, procurement, or agricultural sourcing (food or agribusiness preferred).Knowledge of farming practices, soil quality, and agricultural supply chains.Strong background in supplier engagement, contract management, and risk management.Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships.Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and rural development initiatives.We Offer:Be part of a growing business.Contribute to the sustainable development of our Kava Industry.Lead a diverse team and make a lasting impact on both company operations and local communities.
