MaltaAs a Software QA Engineer, whilst being technical and hands-on capable, you will oversee and input to all aspects of quality assurance including applying industry best practices, developing new testing solutions and methods, and establishing metrics.Managing the successful delivery of projects will require you to plan, coordinate and lead activities across the full delivery lifecycle.This will include working closely with the department's Product Managers, coordinating with QA and developers, as well as liaising with key project stakeholders as required.This role offers challenges across a wide variety of projects and responsibilities, including the opportunity to influence the future direction of the department and systems used across the business.Major ResponsibilitiesFollow and evolve QA processes to ensure the use of industry-accepted best practices.Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated) including regressions tests.Ensure effective and efficient application of test processes and tools using techniques such as White box, Grey Box, Black box, Test-to-Pass, Test-to-Fail and automation (if required)Collaborate with the team to establish and enhance UI automation practices, incorporating modern tools and frameworks as part of test strategies.Troubleshoot and investigate defects for the software applications.Report defects found during testing using Jira as a defect tracking tool.Conduct new functionality and regression tests, determine and report issues for follow-up.Collaborate with the business to assess or diagnose problems and suggest possible solutions.Support end users during User Acceptance Testing phase.Build and maintain good communication with all stakeholders involved in the SDLC while working close with them during the different phases.Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceMinimum of 2 years working in a similar roleExperience in software business analysis and/or software quality assurance.Experience in TestRail & JIRAGood understanding of using Postman or similar tools for testing APIsExperience with UI automation frameworks (experience with Playwright is a plus)Ability to troubleshoot issues and manage priorities effectivelyAbility to create future-proof reusable test casesComfortable working with remote teamsExcellent personal organisation and ability to prioritise and carry out multiple tasksAble to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challengesPossess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that supports production and
