Our Total Self culture unites us globally and we are dedicated to taking care of our people.We value diversity of thoughts, backgrounds, cultures and perspectives to create a sense of belonging.ResponsibilitiesThe Business Operations Analyst supports business goals by partnering with the business and cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and deliver reports that support data-driven decision making and drive operational success.Connect, integrate, and organize data from various sources, including Smartsheet, APIs, Excel, and cloud platforms, into Power BI.Optimize datasets for performance and scalability in Power BI.Create visually compelling and interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, requirements and KPIs, and develop analytical tools and reports to improve operations.Troubleshoot data ingestion and optimize report performance, ensuring quick and efficient delivery of the data.Analyze operational data, provide analyses, and summarize recommendations for improvement opportunities in business operations.Assist in the development of recommendations and preparation for written and oral presentations to management.Implement regular data governance processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Proactively monitor and maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency, and find opportunities for improvement.Support the coordination of revenue and budgeting processes.Collaborate with business partners and cross-functional teams to define reporting, best practices, and standard operating procedures, integrating tools into workflows, and improve and automate processes.Set up, configure, enhance, and maintain software tools such as Smartsheet, Power BI and others.Research, test, and implement plugins and integrations to enhance tool functionality, troubleshoot problems, and ensure smooth operation.Create and update technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials.QualificationsBA/BS Degree required.
Experience with a digital and/or technology company a plusProficiency in Excel analyzing large data sets with ability to own and drive independent cross-functional analysis projects, working across multiple online and offline data sourcesProficiency with Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modelingProficiency in designing and developing interactive dashboards and visual reports in Power BIStrong understanding of APIs, connectors, and ETL tools to integrate external data sourcesProficiency in SQL, Python, or Power Automate for data processing (preferred)Experience with project management and resource management tools such as SmartsheetExperience with Smartsheet a plusExperience with automating data workflows a plusOperations support or equivalent experience (e.g., from consulting or an agency); could include Finance, Business Operations, Strategy, Sales, Sales Operations, Account Management, Sales Planning, Ad Operations, or ConsultingExperience analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing complex data to provide measurable, actionable insights and recommendationsProject management experience, including establishing a project vision through execution and coordination with cross-functional partners (preferred)Well-organized, accountable, and capable of handling multiple projects and ad-hoc requests with attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independentlyGet to know Syneos HealthOver the past 5 years, we have worked with 94% of all Novel FDA Approved Drugs, 95% of EMA Authorized Products and over 200 Studies across 73,000 Sites and 675,000+ Trial patients.
