Transform businesses through cutting-edge technology and software solutions.Join a dynamic development consultancy to grow sustainably.Opportunity OverviewWe seek skilled Backend Engineers (Golang) to join a critical team powering internal and external billing services, including customer onboarding, subscription management, payments, provisioning, and integrations with enterprise systems.The team works in a modern, container-based, microservices environment built primarily in Golang, using Kafka, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL at scale.You'll be part of a collaborative 6-member team with additional developers supporting adjacent projects.The environment promotes mentorship, knowledge sharing, and autonomy – you'll have the space to take ownership and drive meaningful results.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain Golang-based microservices that power billing systems.Develop and integrate RESTful APIs that interface with external financial and operational systems.Work with event-driven systems and streaming architectures using Kafka.Manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.Collaborate with internal stakeholders across teams to deliver new features and maintain operational excellence.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across distributed systems.Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning sessions.Contribute to continuous improvement of system reliability, scalability, and security.Required Skills and Qualifications5+ years of professional backend development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Golang (or proven ability to quickly ramp up).Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend microservices.Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar).Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with multiple stakeholders.BenefitsAvenue Code ensures the privacy of all candidates in compliance with regulations such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, and CPRA.Data will be used solely for recruitment processes and may be shared when necessary to provide services.
